Read&Write for Google Chrome is an awesome extension that can be installed from the Chrome Store and added to your browser extensions. This is a great tool for helping students struggling with reading and writing. Read&Write does several things, but one of its main features is reading what's on a web page back to the user. Once it has been installed, simply look for the extension on the main menu of the Chrome browser and select it and the Read&Write toolbar will open. Once it's opened, simply highlight the body of text that you wish to be read aloud, and select the play button. As stated, there are lots of other features too, so I highly encourage you to play around with this extension to learn about all of its other features.

Chrome Music Lab Have you tried Chrome Music Lab yet? This is a great interactive website for students of all ages to play with sounds, rhythms, melodies and more. You can even draw your own sounds. Check it out on any device at g.co/musiclab .

Kahoot! is a great game-based digital classroom response system that is engaging for students and an awesome tool for teachers to integrate a little BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) into their classroom. Teachers and students may choose from hundreds of Quizzes, Discussions or Surveys that others have posted or you can create your own. I highly recommend checking it out! 

Study Blue is a great app/website for creating flashcards and other study tools for studying. As an educator I am always on the lookout for tools that will make learning easier for students. This is a good one!

If you've always wanted to learn another language, now is the time! Duolingo is a great app for learning several languages, including Spanish, Italian, German, French and others. Users may find it by going to www.duolingo.com . One may also download it for FREE in the Chrome Store, Google Play or the iTunes App Store and learn on the go. I've got it on all my devices and have spent endless hours trying to learn Italian. I've got a long way to go, but it has made learning a new language fun for me!

Class Dojo is a great App/website for managing the classroom. Teachers setup their classes and award Dojo points for behavior, work ethic, manners and other key behaviors that help students become successful in the classroom. Teachers may generate student and parent accounts and reports too, which are great for communicating positive behaviors and study skills and negative behaviors and study skills that need to be corrected.  

This is a great app for creating color-coded notes, checklists, and reminders. I've got it installed on my Android phone, my computer and my iPad and use it mainly to leave myself To-Do lists and random ideas or thoughts that I may want to come back to when I have more time. The great thing is that it syncs across these different platforms, so that I can access them  f rom  just about anywhere. It is available in the Android Market, the Chrome Store and iTunes App Store.
